Camping at Cran-Hill Ranch

Here we are at the end of June already! Holy cow where is the time going? June has been a whirlwind of fun for us. After several busy weekends we packed up the trailblazer and headed to Cran-Hill Ranch for the weekend. What a great time we had. Emma and Ethan came with us and boy let me tell you we couldn't have fit one more thing in the truck. The kids had to ride with pillows and blankets on their laps. :)
We got there around lunch time on Friday and quickly got the tents up and stuff put away so Landon could nap. While attempting to blow up the air mattress I realized there were giant holes in it. So while Landon was napping we made a quick trip to Walmart. Luckily that was the only thing that didn't go so well the whole weekend. We had the best weather we could have asked for not to hot, and plenty of sun.

Friday was great the kids really enjoyed their first hobo pie experience and they loved the fact that we got to eat ice cream then go tye dye. Overall I think Teagan was the winner with the best tye dye everyone loved it!
Saturday was another busy fun filled day. First Landon, Ethan, Jonah, Issac and Chloe rode the ponies. Landon made it about half way around the ring before he had enough. Ethan said he had a great time!

Then Teagan, Tanna, Adriana, Aunt Laura, Harrison, Emma, Luke and I went on a trail ride. It was a nice relaxing ride, even though I had a very sly horse who was good at eating on the go.

After our ride we ate a quick lunch then Chris, Emma, Ethan and I went on a nice tubing ride down the Muskegon river. The water was freezing, but as long as the sun stayed out it was not so bad. The river was really high and the trip only took an hour. Somehow Emma and I ended up in the front and were the first ones done. We got back to camp just in time to join our MRC friends on a wagon ride.
After our wagon ride we headed back to camp to relax before dinner. Dinner at camp is always very yummy! We have trash can Turkeys!! I know it sounded weird to me at first, but they are soooo yummy and just look at this beautiful bird:
After dinner a group of guys headed out to play some disc golf. Landon had practiced earlier in the day but only got to ride through the course. I headed up to the barn store with the kids for some ice cream and to wait for another hay ride. We all just relaxed on the porch of the barn store it was great!

The inch worm/Tanna's new friend's name is Stanley. Now this inch worm had about a dozen life because I have no idea how many times we heard that Stanley was squished only to hear oh wait I found him! In the end Stanley was given a nice home a great green leaf.

Sunday morning was church in the pines and packing up. While Landon took his afternoon nap I hung out around the campsite and the kids and Chris hit the beach.

What a great weekend. Emma and Ethan did not want to go home and I am working on getting them into summer camp! Can't wait for next year!!
